Your Mission:
- Documentation Architect: Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including user manuals, API references, troubleshooting guides, and release notes.
- Content Alchemist: Convert complex technical jargon into clear, concise, and engaging content that resonates with both technical and non-technical audiences. No industry phrase or acronym left unturned.
- Collaboration Maestro: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and support teams to gather information, validate accuracy, and ensure documentation aligns with product development cycles. Weekly documentation check ins.
- Quality Guardian: Champion documentation best practices, maintain style guides, and implement rigorous review processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity across all deliverables. Think AP style, but for APIs.
- Content Strategy Contributor: Help to define our overall documentation strategy, identify opportunities for content improvement, and explore innovative ways to deliver information to our users.
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Proven career path in technical writing, with a portfolio of outstanding documentation samples.
- Deep understanding of software development methodologies, API documentation, and user experience principles.
- Mastery of technical writing tools and platforms, such as MadCap Flare, DITA, or similar.
- Unwavering commitment to quality, accuracy, and user-centric content design.
- A passion for learning new technologies and explaining complex concepts in simple terms. Extra credit for whiteboard skills.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities. A diplomatic touch is always appreciated.
